Senior AWS Consultant

What will you do?

As an AWS Cloud Consultant, you are actively involved in execution:

• You develop cloud strategies and translate business goals into concrete AWS solutions, based on a thorough analysis of the existing IT environment and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Together with clients, you investigate where AI truly adds value, from smart automation to generative AI with Amazon Bedrock.

• You take on the role of a working foreman: you guide engineers and actively participate in the implementation of cloud solutions yourself.

• You are responsible for delivery within scope, create a Work Breakdown Structure, and, together with the project manager, monitor progress, quality, and planning.

• You coach and develop your team according to the 'To do, To participate, To do it yourself' principle.

• You ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and future-proof, and remain involved in optimization and further development after delivery.

About this role

This is a senior role with a clear Customer Lead overlay. In addition to a strong foundation as an AWS Cloud Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for the client and responsible for the value we realize together, across the entire lifecycle.

You combine technical knowledge with leadership, bring teams and partners along, and translate cloud capabilities into concrete impact. At the same time, you build strong, long-term client relationships and help both the client and the team move forward.

As a Customer Lead:

• You are the primary point of contact and escalation point for the client.

• You take ownership of the client roadmap and drive business value.

• You are responsible for the delivery outcomes and intervene when results deviate from expectations.

• During Continuous Delivery, you form the governance model towards the client together with the People & Process Officer.

• Internally, you represent the client's perspective and align colleagues and partners.

• You identify opportunities to further expand the collaboration.

Our Approach

We work according to our 6D Delivery Model. As a Customer Lead, you maintain the common thread across all phases. The focus of your delivery work lies here:

DISCOVER, DEFINE & DESIGN

You analyze IT environments, perform Well-Architected Reviews, and translate business goals into concrete AWS strategies, migration plans, roadmaps, and future-proof solutions.

DEVELOP & DEPLOY

As a working foreman, you guide engineers and work yourself on the implementation and rollout. You monitor scope, progress, and quality, create the Work Breakdown Structure, and take ownership of delivery, in close coordination with the client and project manager.

CONTINUOUS DELIVERY

You ensure successful delivery and remain involved in optimization, innovation, and further development. In this phase, the Customer Lead role is most prominent: you monitor customer value and, together with the People & Process Officer, provide direction for governance.

What do you bring?

• Extensive experience, typically 5+ years, with AWS services, architecture, and cloud solutions.

• Experience with AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected, AWS CAF, and landing zones, including migrations and optimization.

• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and the realization of AWS solutions.

• Experience in managing technical teams and taking ownership of complex client projects.

• You combine technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and drive for business value and results.

• Experience with AI-assisted development and AI in your daily work, preferably with an agentic way of working.

• Good command of Dutch and English. Relevant AWS certifications are a plus.
