Kelly Partners Griffith Partnership is searching for a Senior Auditor. The position based in Griffith, NSW and offers a base salary of $80,717.49 p.a. + superannuation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute audits of financial statements, internal controls, and business operational processes to meet financial reporting requirements of clients;
  • Develop and review audit planning, risk assessments and framework reviews;
  • Prepare audit reports for clients and present findings to senior management;
  • Understand and apply the concepts of audit planning contained in the Auditing Standards.
  • Obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence for all areas of the engagement with the exception of work that is performed by the Client Director (primarily income tax and certain complex risk areas);
  • Understand accounting standards and application;
  • Exercise audit judgement in determining the level and nature of testing required;
  • Accept responsibility for the audit process from planning to completion, including all client contact that does not require the input of the Client Director;
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff on assignment;
  • Liaise with the client in a professional manner to obtain the required information.
  • Prepare planning documentation in accordance with the firm’s audit policies;
  • Manage delays and issues, advising the Client Director where appropriate
  • Mentor and train more junior team members
  • Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of audit experience, including in Australia
  • Chartered Accountant qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar
  • Experience with Caseware
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate about innovation and improving the audit function
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
