Senior Associate/Manager Accounting – accounting

Financial reporting stands central in our audit business. This is where we perform audits and what we use to model and plan our audit approach. For a high-quality audit, it's essential that we have a good understanding of the relevant financial reporting requirements and their application.

Our team consists of a core team of about nine experienced professionals, supplemented by colleagues 10 to 15 who are rotating from our audit practice. Together with these colleagues, you will contribute to KPMG's main objectives by:

• Leveraging high-quality responses on consultations and promoting a healthy consultation experience
• Identifying and communicating changes in laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including emerging issues and current topics
• Developing training, tools, and guidelines

• Making contributions to other audit quality initiatives and various accounting-related projects
• Making contributions to KPMG's thought leadership on accounting and influencing developments and changes in reporting rules by active participation in (committees of) the Accounting Standards Committee and IFRS via our global and European infrastructure, and via external organizations such as Accountancy Europe and EFRAG. Creating and sharing thought leadership on reporting developments in internal and external publications.

Although the role is technically oriented, a healthy dose of curiosity and social skills come in handy. The role encompasses both a focus on details and the ability to grasp the bigger picture.
