Senior Associate Purchase (Marine)

Role Description The role is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the supply of spare parts, equipment, and services required for vessel maintenance and operations. The role involves coordination with vessel managers, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities 1. Procurement & Vendor Management • Source and procure spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels. • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and negotiate contracts that meet the company's requirements. • Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and maintain a high level of service quality. • Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics such as cost savings, delivery times, and supplier satisfaction. 2. Supply Chain Management • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing supply chain operations, including inventory management, logistics, and transportation. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes that drive efficiency and reduce costs. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for supply chain operations. • Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. 3. Quality Control & Assurance • Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the procurement of high-quality spare parts, equipment, and services. • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with vessel managers and suppliers to identify and address any quality issues or concerns. • Implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. 4. Reporting & Analysis • Prepare and present reports on procurement performance metrics, supply chain operations, and quality control results. • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction. • Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards goals. 5. Compliance & Regulatory Affairs • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement, supply chain management, and quality control. • Stay up-to-date on changes to regulatory requirements and implement necessary updates to processes and procedures. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
