Senior Associate - Fund Operations-Mumbai

Job description

Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Associate - Fund Operations to manage client onboarding, reconciliation, custody operations, fund accounting and reporting functions for our Portfolio Management Services.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Onboarding & Account Management

  • Manage end-to-end account opening for PMS Investors (Individual, HUF, Corporate, NRI, Trust)
  • Co-ordinate with Investors, RMs, and distributors for KYC/CML documentation
  • Review forms for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with custodians for account setup and strategy allocation
  • Maintain onboarding trackers and share timely updates.

Custody & Reconciliation

  • Monitor daily custodian feeds for trades and holdings
  • Perform daily reconciliation of securities, funds, and corporate actions
  • Resolve breaks/discrepancies with custodians and escalate as needed
  • Ensure smooth trade settlements and fund flows
Fund Accounting
  • Independently validate NAV, MTM valuations, expense accruals & corporate action treatment
  • Perform daily reconciliation between broker trades, custodian positions, cash & collateral balances — with sign-offs on accuracy of fund books.
  • Review expense debits (AMC, brokerage, statutory charges) and ensure correct treatment across portfolios
  • Proactively identify breaks / mismatches and drive timely escalation, root-cause and closure with Custodian

Operations & Reporting

  • Process client transactions (top-up, withdrawal, strategy switch)
  • Assist in preparing client reports, MIS, and regulatory submissions
  • Work with compliance to ensure SEBI guidelines are followed
  • Maintain SOPs and support process improvements

Requirements
Skills & Qualification
  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field
  • Experience: 3 – 6years in PMS, AIFS, Mutual Funds, Custodian, or Broking back-office operations
  • Strong understanding of account types: Individual, NRI, HUF, Trust, Corporate
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of portfolio/reporting software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask
  • Lead and manage the team.
