Job description

OOvB is a regional accounting and advisory firm that supports SMEs in their entrepreneurship. With locations in Wijchen, Cuijk and Wanroij, OOvB offers services in the field of accountancy, taxation and law.

The role of Senior Assistant Accountant at OOvB focuses on independently preparing annual accounts, preparing tax returns and advising SME clients in various sectors. The candidate works closely with colleagues and supervises junior team members.

The ideal candidate has a completed or almost completed higher professional education or university degree in accountancy or business economics, at least five years of experience within accountancy, and combines analytical precision with customer focus.

Core of the role:

  • Independently perform financial and tax activities.
  • Identifying advisory opportunities for clients.
  • Coaching junior employees.
  • Ensuring quality and efficiency in service provision.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing annual accounts and interim reports.
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns (Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT).
  • Identifying advisory opportunities and discussing them with clients.
  • Guiding and coaching junior colleagues.
  • Maintaining client contact and answering questions.
  • Contributing to quality improvement of service provision.

Location: Wijchen / Cuijk / Wanroij

Hours: 32–40 hours per week

Salary: €3,350 – €4,950 per month

Requirements

  • (Almost) completed higher professional education or university degree in accountancy, business economics or similar.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with modern accounting software (e.g. Exact, CaseWare, Twinfield).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Accurate, customer-oriented and proactive.
