Senior Asset Engineer

The opportunity

Across the length and breadth of Aotearoa, you are never too far from our work. We are looking for Asset Engineers/Technicians to join our high performing and social Tauranga team. Due to our long-term partnerships with Waka Kotahi and other local authority clients we have a strong pipeline of work across the region and are looking for analytical minds to join us!
We are looking for an intermediate level Asset Engineer to be part of our Transport & Infrastructure Asset Management team. Our team delivers asset management planning, analysis, forward works programming, pavement design, asset data collection surveys, asset database management and asset valuations for roading and other transportation assets.

Each day will provide variety and opportunity. Overall you can expect to:
Lead packages of work providing support and advice to our clients
Management and analysis of asset data to support good decisions
Supporting the delivery of asset data collection activities and surveys
Supporting the development of forward works programmes including reporting on asset performance, condition and effectiveness of investment
Supporting with transport infrastructure asset revaluations
Working with the team to improve processes including identifying new and emerging technologies applicable to future business requirements
Some travel is required as part of this role, a full and clean driver’s license is essential.
About you
You love to learn and share knowledge and someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You are a qualified Civil Engineer with a passion for design and problem-solving. Having recently completed a graduate programme in a similar consulting environment, you will also have an enquiring mind, able to problem solve and think laterally. You will have some experience with transport infrastructure assets and their performance. How you work is also important to us – we will value your enthusiasm and motivation to continue to learn from your peers and more senior members of the team.
