StoryMachine is a 2017-founded agency with the focus on strategic storytelling for Brands, personalities, and political institutions.

Our office is located in an old variety theater right in the heart of Berlin. There you'll find unique character heads as colleagues and receive fresh perspectives from the politics-, economy- and media-world at regular training impulses in our internal Academies.

About the Job

As Senior Art Director (m/w/d) with Focus on Video Content, you'll be a central part of the Visual Team and be responsible for the creative implementation of our digital contents. You develop strong visual concepts, work independently on challenging projects, and set modern, AI-supported tools deliberately to continuously improve quality and efficiency.

Your Tasks

➡️ Visual Content Design – You conceptualize, design, and implement high-quality visual (video) contents for digital channels.

➡️Einsatz von KI-Tools - You set modern AI tools deliberately and responsibly to use, to make your work more efficient, smarter to solve challenges, and continuously improve our processes.

➡️ Campaign & Design Development – You develop creative designs and campaigns in line with brand and communication goals.

➡️ Project Responsibility – You supervise projects independently from the first idea to the final implementation.

➡️ Corporate Design Implementation – You implement corporate designs, illustrations, animations, and infographics and develop them continuously further.

➡️ Process & Tool Usage – You use modern tools to make design and production processes more efficient.

➡️ Interdisciplinary Cooperation – You work closely with various departments together and translate requirements into visual concepts.

➡️ Trend Observation – You keep an eye on visual trends and new technologies in the design field.

You Bring

✅ Motion Picture Competence – You bring fundamental knowledge of video production, editing, and post-production as well as very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud with you.

✅ Professional Experience – You bring at least five years of relevant professional experience in the design or creative field with you.

✅ Design Competence – You have a very good sense for design, visual quality, and consistent brand guidance.

✅ AICapacity – You have experience in responsible handling of AI-supported image-, video- and animation processing under consideration of quality-, brand- and data protection standards.

✅ Work Style – You work structured, independently, and reliably.

✅ Innovation Enthusiasm – You are interested in new technologies, tools, and developments in the design and creative field.

✅ Communication Strength – You have very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills in writing and speaking.
