Senior Application Developer Java / Kotlin – Risk Applications

Do you want to contribute your expertise in application development at an expert level and further develop sophisticated solutions in the area of Market Risk? In a well-coordinated team of eight developers and nine subject matter experts, you will actively shape the further development of an existing system as well as future technical developments. You will apply your profound knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and database technologies and make an important contribution to the quality and continuous optimization of the applications.

Main Tasks:

• Analysis of requirements from the business unit, Risk Management (Market & Credit Risk), and trading, and their translation into technical specifications Design and implementation of new functions as well as further development of existing components in the risk and trading applications

• Connection and further development of interfaces to surrounding systems (trading systems, market data, reference data, reporting, risk platforms) Ensuring the performance, stability, and maintainability of the applications, especially with regard to intraday and end-of-day processing Conducting unit, integration, and regression tests, as well as supporting business acceptance tests

• Participation in error analysis and resolution (3rd level support) within the scope of application operation

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (architecture, design, implementation details)

Requirements:

• Several years of professional experience at an expert level in application development with Java and Kotlin

• Very good knowledge of SQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL

• Profound knowledge of Linux and ideally Kubernetes and Windows

• Experience in interface integration, performance optimization, and 3rd level support

• Knowledge of Market Risk, Credit Risk, or trading applications is an advantage

• Analytical, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as good communication skills

• Very good German and English skills are mandatory
