Job Description:
- XXgn, build, and deploy effective data migration packages utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Write stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions using Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL to extract, transform, and load legacy data.
- Build Business Clientligence solutions in a collaborative, agile development environment.
- Write application code using .NET C# and Microsoft SQL with the ability to create both desktop and web-based interfaces.
- Integrate SSIS packages with D365 CRM (Customer Service) or D365 Finance (formerly AX) to load the transformed data into the new application.
- Create automated release packages and ensure data migration solutions are added to the department's source control system as per ministry standards.
- Use discretion and make sound decisions while working with a minimal amount of direction, while being proactive in keeping their management informed of project-related issues.
- Communicate project status and issues to the program and client management.
- Respectfully question ideas and share a point of view with others in support of the business requirements and needs.
- Utilize an agile methodology such as Kanban, Scrum, or SAFe to organize workload and to short iterations with rapid feedback loops.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities when transforming the legacy data.
- Produce technical documentation and reference materials.
- Produce database ERD diagrams and systems design manuals.
- Perform unit and integration testing.
- Participate in release and iteration plans.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by the Project Candidateager.
- The resource will require its own equipment.
- Once hired, the resource will be required to complete all mandatory training, which includes, but is not limited to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Security awareness training.
- The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: Yes/NO
- University graduation in computer science or a related discipline and 5-year Application Developer (AD) experience.
- 2-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline and 7-year AD experience.
- 1-year certificate in computer science or a related discipline and 8 years of AD experience.
- 9-year AD experience.
- Experience in creating and implementing business intelligence requirements. 5 years
- Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders. 5 years
- Experience with programming language .NET Core. 5 years
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services.
- Experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
- Experience working with a Public Trustee Office and trust accounting with the following: case management, records management, finance, trust accounting, taxes, disbursements, receipts, vendors, batch processing/frequencies etc. 2 years
- Experience working with Rocket Universe software and multi-valued databases.
- Experience with MultiValue database is a type of NoSQL and multidimensional database that supports the use of attributes having a list of values, rather than a single value.
- Often referred to as a Pick database for 2 years.
- Experience with .Net frameworks and C# application development using object oriented techniques.
- Duration-Experience with MS SQL Server, Candidateagement Studio, stored procedures, data modelling, and reporting services.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, with hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines for transforming and loading data from multiple sources into data warehouses.
- Experience doing SQL Server development, including procedures, indexes, foreign key relationships, table creation, and entity model diagrams, 3 years.
- Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships across the organization, from front-line staff to executives. 3 years
- Experience integrating DevOps practices into the development workflow using CI/CD best practices, 3 years.
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of complex IT solutions. 3 years
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes in a large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment. 3 years
- Experience working in or for the public sector. 1 years
- Experience working with various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.). 3 years
