Job description

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to design, build, and maintain mobile applications that support innovative health-tech platforms. The role will primarily focus on maintaining and upgrading existing Android applications while ensuring all code is scalable, reliable, and aligned with best practices. You will also provide input on Android architecture and contribute to mentoring other developers when needed. Key Responsibilities Analysis & Planning (20%) Participate in the full application lifecycle, from concept to deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code. Requirements Gathering: Understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Conduct feasibility studies and provide estimates for development efforts. Technical Execution (60%) Develop new features and maintain existing ones for our Android applications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Implement automated testing and code reviews. Adhere to coding standards and guidelines. Architecture & Design (10%) Contribute to the overall architecture of Android applications. Make informed decisions on technology and design choices. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Research and propose new technologies and solutions. Team Collaboration & Mentoring (10%) Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and providing guidance. Collaborate with the QA team to ensure high-quality application releases. Participate in Agile development processes and daily stand-ups. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Android development. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java. Experience with the Android SDK and different versions of Android. Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. Experience with Unit testing, UI testing, and Integration testing. Experience with Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience with Agile methodologies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Experience with health-tech applications is a plus. Experience with RxJava/RxKotlin is a plus. Experience with dependency injection (e.g., Dagger/Hilt) is a plus. Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Benefits Competitive salary.
