Senior Analytics Engineer (all genders)

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a central role in the conception and implementation of modern analytics solutions. Together with our clients, you will develop scalable data models and analytics architectures that create a reliable foundation for reporting, self-service analytics, and data-driven decisions.

• You will conceptualize, develop, and take responsibility for analytical data models on modern Data Warehouses and Data Lakehouses, ensuring their quality, performance, and sustainable further development.
• You will develop robust data transformation processes with dbt and establish best practices for testing, documentation, versioning, and deployment.
• You will design scalable analytical data models based on established modeling approaches such as Kimball, Snowflake Schema, or Data Vault 2.0 and integrate diverse data sources into a consistent analytics landscape.
• You will establish and take responsibility for concepts for Data Quality, Data Testing, Data Lineage, and Data Governance and support the development of modern analytics standards.
• You will optimize data models and query performance on modern cloud data platforms and utilize current Lakehouse technologies as well as table formats like Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg.
• You will work closely with business departments, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers, translating complex business requirements into sustainable analytics solutions.
• You will take technical responsibility for work packages or sub-projects, manage their successful implementation, and support colleagues as a technical sparring partner.
• Through your strong customer orientation and communication skills, you will advise clients at eye level, moderate workshops, and present technical solutions comprehensibly for different target groups.

• You have several years of practical experience in Analytics Engineering and data modeling on modern cloud data platforms. You know how to translate business requirements into sustainable analytical data models and develop solutions with real added value for our clients.
• You have in-depth experience with dbt (dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud) and have successfully conceptualized, implemented, and further developed analytics engineering solutions in several client projects.
• You are proficient in Dimensional Data Modeling (Kimball Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and have in-depth experience in the conception and implementation of modern ELT/transformation architectures.
• You have excellent SQL skills and use Python as needed for automation, analysis, or data-driven solutions.
• You have practical experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift and are familiar with current Lakehouse concepts as well as table formats like Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg.
• Topics such as Data Quality, Data Testing, Data Lineage, and Data Governance are self-evident components of professional analytics solutions for you. Ideally, you have already worked with Great Expectations, Data Catalogues, or comparable tools.
• Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 as well as experience with Semantic Layers or modern BI architectures are a plus.
• You take responsibility for technical solution designs, advise clients at eye level, and support colleagues as a technical sparring partner and mentor.
• You communicate complex technical relationships clearly and appropriately for the audience – in both German (at least C1) and English.
• Occasional travel to our clients is a matter of course for you.
