This role contributes to the high-performing and highly collaborative Responsible Investments and Sustainability (RI&S) team and broader Investments team, ensuring ESG factors are considered in the investment process and investment decision useful ESG research is conducted.

The Senior Analyst will play an important role in driving the implementation of Rest's responsible investment approach, with a primary focus on ESG integration. It will also work across all the responsible investment pillars covering Governance, ESG integration, Active Ownership, Screening, Thematic and Impact Investing, Collective Responsibility and Advocacy, and Disclosure and Transparency.

  • Perform the role of ‘asset class responsible investment partner’ to specified asset class teams, specifically, e.g. equities, debt & cash
  • Conduct ESG and Impact due diligence and ongoing assessments, ensuring ESG and climate-related factors are integrated within the investment process, including those of active ownership and sustainability outcomes
  • Research, measure, monitor, analyse, and report on ESG and climate-related data, trends, metrics and targets, including the whole of Fund exclusions and enhanced Sustainable Growth option criteria
  • Co-ordinate, advise and consult with key stakeholders to assist with the annual review, updating or uplifting of strategy, policies, protocols, and risk standards; draft relevant sections for reports, disclosures and other communications.
  • Lead the development of responsible investment questionnaires and disclosures that require internal coordination, e.g. RIAA, PRI, SuperRatings
  • Participate in, contribute and deliver to internal and external collaborative committees, taskforces, and networks to ensure Rest stays a learning, knowledge sharing and innovative organization
