Job description

You understand AI systems in detail. And you can explain them to a CEO in such a way that they make the right decision.

We want to be the AI experts in the mid-market. Not the ones who talk loudest about AI, but the ones who know why a RAG system delivers poor answers, which model can be operated locally, and which use case will show impact in three months. For this, we are looking for people who bring both: real technical depth and experience in guiding customers through projects.

As a Senior AI Solutions Engineer at Neurawork, you will be responsible for customer projects from the initial analysis to go-live. You will analyze processes and data, evaluate use cases for feasibility and impact, design the architecture, and implement the solution yourself, based on our standardized products and up to full integration into the customer's system landscape. The customer trusts you because you technically know what you're talking about.

We work according to our own Operational AI process model. We are not an automation agency or custom software developers: standardized products are our lever, and we adapt them up to full integration. We create real, measurable added value and stand for it.

Tasks

What you do with us

  • Take responsibility for projects: Lead customer projects in the mid-market, from kick-off to handover to operations

  • Evaluate: Understand customer processes and data, examine use cases for feasibility, costs, and limitations, and prioritize by impact

  • Build yourself: Design architecture, configure and extend our products, optimize retrieval and prompting, make quality measurable

  • Integrate: Implement interfaces, data connections, security, and operations together with the customer's IT

  • Consult with substance: Fundamentally support departments, IT, and management, manage expectations clearly, develop technically sound roadmaps

  • Engage people: Moderate workshops and empower participants so that the solution is adopted in everyday use

  • Pass on knowledge: Feed insights back into our frameworks and products; conduct live sessions in our AI training with TÜV Süd certification and in AI Business Coaching

Not suitable for you if...

Not suitable for you if …

  • You have managed or accompanied AI projects but have not implemented them technically yourself,

  • Your AI systems were exclusively created with no-code tools,

  • You prefer to stay solely in the code and leave customer appointments, workshops, or meetings with management to others

Qualification

What you bring

Technical Foundation:

  • Completed degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science). Alternatively, several years of professional software development. Certificate courses and further training do not replace this.

  • At least one AI system that you have conceptualized and implemented yourself and can demonstrate, e.g., a RAG pipeline, a productive agent, or a technically responsible automation

  • You program confidently (e.g., Python) and work with APIs, databases, and deployment. Pure no-code or low-code experience is not sufficient for this role.

  • You can justify technical decisions, e.g., why you chose a specific model, chunking strategy, or cloud vs. local operation, and where their limitations lie

Consulting Experience:

  • 4+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years with direct customer contact in technical projects, e.g., as a Technical Consultant, Solutions Engineer, Solution Architect, Data/AI Consultant, technical project manager, or freelancer with your own clients. Internal departments as clients also count.

  • You have gathered requirements, moderated workshops, and driven decisions with stakeholders, including at management level

  • You can tell a customer that their desired use case doesn't make sense and show them a better alternative

Also important:

  • Native-level German (C2) in speaking and writing

  • Good English, residence in Germany, and willingness to attend on-site customer appointments

What we offer

  • Project responsibility from the first mandate, without layers above you; direct line to the founding team

  • Both worlds in one role: build yourself and consult yourself, without handovers between consulting and development

  • A team that discusses on an equal technical footing: exchange with the AI elite in Germany

  • Framework-driven rather than ad hoc, and you help shape the frameworks

  • Value instead of hours: We count results, not daily rates

  • Modern tech stack and space for experimentation

  • Visibility as an expert through our AI Business Coaching community and the TÜV-SÜD cooperation

  • Fully remote possible; team days and customer workshops on-site, usually 2-4 days per month in the DACH region

Application: Bring Your Project!

Send us your CV and briefly answer two questions:

  1. Your Project (3–5 sentences): Which AI system would you show us in the second interview? What does it solve, how is it structured, which part did you implement yourself, and what technical decision did you consciously make? A link to GitHub, a demo video, or similar is welcome.

  2. Your Client (2–3 sentences): Describe a situation where you convinced a client or department of a technical decision or corrected their expectations. What was the initial situation, what did you do, and what was the outcome?

We look forward to getting to know you, your project, and your client story!
