Senior AI Solution Engineer Document Intelligence (gn)

We are looking for an experienced developer at the interface of Document AI, Prompt Engineering, Inputmanagement and Process Automation.

The role is ideal for AI Engineers, Prompt Engineers or technology-oriented Document Management profiles who want to use KI not only technically but also conceptually and strategically. You will work closely with business processes, translate requirements into effective KI solutions, and design intelligent document processing at the operational level.

Tasks

In the foreground are concrete KI-use cases with high relevance (e.g., annually around 8 to 10 million incoming emails including attachments shall be processed using KI and digital solutions).

Your tasks will include:

• Development, evaluation, and optimization of KI-based solution approaches for document analysis, classification, extraction, and routing
• Prompting and conceptual optimization of KI models in the context of intelligent document processing
• Design of logics for document separation, data recognition, and forwarding to subsequent processes
• Analysis of model and process results to improve quality, efficiency, costs, and stability
• Translation of technical requirements into features, user stories, test scenarios, and production-ready solution concepts
• Closely working with departments, IT, service providers, and management in an agile squad structure
• Accompanying prototypes, tests, and productive solutions
• Ensuring responsible KI use with a focus on data protection, governance, bias, and risks
• Supporting the establishment of KI competence through sparring, workshops, and knowledge transfer

Qualification

You bring experience with KI, prompting, or AI-based automation solutions and want to use these more strategically in document-based processes.

Important are especially:

• Experience as an AI Engineer, Prompt Engineer, data-ML-oriented profile, or technology-affine specialist in document management
• Practical experience with KI applications, prompt engineering, LLMs, NLP, or KI-based document analysis
• Understanding of classification, extraction, document separation, routing, and process automation
• Experience with Document AI solutions like Google Document AI, Vertex AI, or comparable platforms is advantageous
• Basic understanding of interfaces, APIs, cloud applications, or system integration
• Interest in bringing technical KI expertise more conceptually, strategically, and process-oriented
• Experience in document management, input management, or workflow management is desirable
• Able to structure complex requirements and translate them into executable solution approaches
• Analytical strength, self-initiative, and pleasure in interdisciplinary cooperation. Very good German language skills.
