(Senior) AI Software Engineer (m/w/d)

We are looking for an engaged software developer with AI focus, who will shape the next generation of our logistics platform – with modern .NET, a strong team, and a clear vision for the use of KI.

We are a young tech company developing an innovative software solution for logistics. Our goal: to make multi-way solutions as easy as single-use ones and optimize one of the most annoying processes in the industry – while simultaneously reducing the CO2 footprint of logistics.

In this role, you will bring AI where it really makes a difference: into our product for our customers and into our workflows as a team. You will design and implement AI-based features – and at the same time make our development processes more efficient with modern AI tools.

Aufgaben

• AI-Features im Produkt: You conceptualize and implement KI-supported features in our SaaS product – from LLM integrations to RAG applications to intelligent automations.
• AI-Strategie mitgestalten: You identify together with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and other departments where AI can create real added value for our company – and implement the most promising ideas.
• AI-Architektur & Tech-Entscheidungen: You make informed decisions about which models, frameworks, and patterns (e.g. Function Calling, Retrieval, Agents) are suitable for which use cases – and keep costs, performance, and maintainability in mind.
• Workflow-Optimierung mit KI: You actively use AI tools in your development workflow (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude) and bring ideas on how we as a team can become more efficient – from engineering to sales to support.
• Prototyping & Validierung: You build quick prototypes to test new AI ideas – and decide together with the team which ones make it into production.
• Wissenstransfer: You share your knowledge about KI trends, new models, and best practices actively with the team and help build our AI competence as a company.
• Zusammenarbeit: You work closely with Product Management, development teams, and other departments to turn real problems into smart AI solutions.

Qualifikation

• Ausbildung & Hintergrund: You have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent education or practical experience.
• AI-Erfahrung: You have already worked with LLM APIs (e.g. Anthropic, Gemini) and understand concepts like Prompt Engineering, Function Calling, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Entwicklungs-Know-how: You are confident in at least one modern programming language (ideally C#/.NET) and can implement production-ready features independently.
• Pragmatismus & Produktdenken: You recognize where AI creates real added value and where it doesn't. You build a quick prototype for validation rather than planning the perfect solution for months.
• Kommunikation: You can explain technical topics in a way that non-technical colleagues from Sales, Support, or Management can understand.
• Clean Code & Architektur: You have a good understanding of clean code and modern software architectures, even if you often work in prototyping mode in the AI field.
• AI-Mindset: For you, KI is neither hype nor threat, but a fixed part of modern software development – and you want to continuously develop yourself and your working methods with new technologies.
• Teamgeist: You actively participate in meetings, think together, and share your ideas.
