Senior AI Researcher

We are looking for a Senior AI Researcher to join our AI Centre of Excellence at Manulife Asia, based in Singapore. The focus will be on pioneering insurance-related research in collaboration with academic and industry partners, building prototypes and proof of concepts (POCs) for insurance use cases, and publishing technical papers and blogs about Manulife's innovative work in AI. As the champion of AI for Manulife, you will leverage your deep domain expertise to advance our AI capabilities and drive business outcomes through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with academic and industry partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation, and ensuring that research outputs are aligned with Manulife's strategic priorities. In addition, you will contribute to the development of AI-related thought leadership pieces, including whitepapers, blog posts, and presentations. Your expertise in AI will also be leveraged to inform and shape Manulife's overall AI strategy and roadmap. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in AI or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in AI research and development. You should have a proven track record of publishing papers in top-tier conferences and journals, and be well-versed in AI-related tools and technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, OpenCV, and scikit-learn. Familiarity with insurance industry trends and regulations is also highly desirable.
