Senior AI Engineer (Köln) (w/d/m)

We are WE BUILD AI. We build AI- and Data Solutions for Mid-sized Companies and Conglomerates in Germany. No demos, no PoCs, things that go into production and make money or save.

You take technical responsibility for our AI Engineering projects. That means: you design architectures, build systems up to productive operation, and guide customers through the decisions that arise along the way. You work directly with the departments of our customers, not over three levels of project management.

Aufgaben

• You conceptualize and implement AI-supported software solutions that automate processes and make them more efficient.
• You apply existing machine learning models specifically, adapt them to concrete application cases, and bring them reliably into productive operation.
• You develop scalable backend services and APIs in Python, for example with FastAPI.
• You use cloud-based AI services specifically to develop robust and scalable solutions for real customer requirements.
• You work with structured and unstructured data and prepare it for use in AI applications.
• You ensure the quality and reliability of AI components, for example through testing, validation, and clean error handling.
• You work closely with our AI experts, internal teams, and customers together and translate technical requirements into executable solutions.

Qualifikation

• You have more than 4 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on AI Engineering or comparable technical AI domains.
• Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
• Degree or training in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Fundamental experience in developing with Python.
• Experience in the practical application of machine learning models and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, alternatively AWS or GCP.
• You are motivated to work independently and flexible enough to adapt to new topics and fields of activity.
• Pasión for new technologies and practical solutions.
• Analytical thinking and a structured working method.
