Senior AI Engineer | Agentic Systems (w/m/d)

AI is changing software development fundamentally. In this role, you will support a well-established financial institution in using AI responsibly and with measurable added value – focusing on sustainable solutions that can be integrated into existing development processes, toolchains, and regulated environments.

The employer is active in the financial sector (Brokerage) and was or is a First Mover in its field regarding Technology. The focus of the role is building a modern, AI-supported engineering approach – particularly in the area of Coding Enablement with Claude AI. Already today, Claude is used for DevOps-, GitOps- and workflow optimization; it's not about point automation, but about systematic integration of AI into development-, DevOps- and business processes.

The role is deliberately hybrid: a combination of software architecture and AI development with strong focus on practical implementation, scalability, orchestration, and sustainable integration.

Aufgaben

• Etablish AI in Engineering: Further development of AI throughout the entire software development process, focusing on innovation, practical implementation, scalability, and sustainable integration
• Orchestrate Agent-based Systems: Conceptualization, setup, and control of AI agents as well as their interaction within complex system landscapes
• Design Use Cases and Architectures: Identification of meaningful use cases and development of scalable architecture approaches
• Prototype into Practice: Transferring ideas and PoCs into productive, stable solutions
• Optimize DevOps & Workflows: Using AI to improve development processes, CI/CD, GitOps, and operational workflows
• Technically Design: Development and integration of modern AI solutions (LLMs, RAG systems, agent-based architectures)
• Further Develop Own Framework: Working with and expanding an existing internal framework for AI-supported development and automation
• Safeguard Quality and Compliance: Considering regulatory requirements, traceability, security, and testing

Qualifikation

• Multiple years of experience in software architecture, complex system landscapes (DevOps) and modern development processes
• Practical experience in building and using AI systems, particularly LLMs and agent-based approaches
• Understanding of multi-agent systems, workflows, and their integration into existing systems
• Knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps, and automated development processes
• Hands-on mentality: ability to implement concepts oneself and bring them to production
• Analytical, structured thinking for evaluating technologies regarding benefits, risks, and scalability
• Sovereign communication with technical and professional stakeholders
• Experience in a regulated environment (financial or security-critical context) an advantage
• Experience with Scrum an advantage
• Very good German and very good English skills are absolutely required!
