What's expected of you

• You ensure the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of our entire pipeline.
• You develop and improve our productive software systems.
• You make architectural and design decisions together with the team and ensure clean, future-proof technical solutions.
• You conceptualize, train, and integrate machine learning models into productive applications (APIs, pipelines, and services).
• You work on computer vision applications (documents, images, layout, OCR-related topics) as well as graph neural networks for complex structures.
• You evaluate modern machine learning approaches (classic ML, deep learning, multimodal foundation models) and apply them pragmatically and goal-oriented.
• You work closely with the product and business team to implement requirements into practical AI solutions.

What makes you out

• You have a completed degree in the field of computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a comparable education in this field.
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer and have implemented complex software projects.
• You bring very good knowledge of Python development (C++ knowledge is advantageous).
• You have a solid and broad understanding of machine learning and practical experience with ML models and algorithms (supervised/unsupervised learning and deep learning).
• You are familiar with computer vision or want to deepen your knowledge in this area and bring a good understanding of multimodal approaches (text + image) with you.
• Ideal, you're familiar with OCR, document processing, or layout analysis.
• You can structure complex technical topics and integrate them productively.
• You are motivated, structured, and bring things to a close consistently – you take ownership and deliver reliably.
• You are a team player and communicate openly, clearly, and solution-oriented.
• You have very good German and English skills.
