Senior AI Architect & Consultant (m/f/d)

Mayflower GmbH builds custom software with a focus on Generative AI – owner-managed since 1998.

We bring complete AI infrastructures into production: Model Serving, Agent Gateways, Chat, and Voice – directly in the customer's environment. We are looking for you – someone who not only designs AI systems but also actively co-responsible for their path to production. From architecture consulting at C-level to production operation: you design the solution and bring it into real deployment with the team.

• Challenging projects with LLMs, Agentic RAG, and AI Agent Frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, PydanticAI, Mastra, or OpenAI Agents SDK) – including Deep Agent architectures. You will build evaluation pipelines and observability (logging/tracing with LangSmith, Langfuse, or similar) and work with a modern MLOps stack and Vector Databases.
• You will design solution architectures for complex customer projects – with security, compliance, scalability, and data privacy in mind – from the initial sketch in conversation to the concrete roadmap.
• Together with the team, you will conduct deep-dive calls and workshops with customers and move them into the next project phase.
• You will support the initiation of new projects and assist our team in pre-sales with technical credibility.
• You will communicate confidently at the C-level – you understand economic goals, speak the language of decision-makers, and connect technical excellence with business impact.
• The focus of your role is approximately 50% on customer projects, and in intensive phases, even more. You will invest the remaining time in pre-sales discussions and workshops, which you will prepare and conduct, as well as in strategic support for management and sales.
• Conferences, community events, technical papers: Presence is a plus, not a requirement. The only thing important to us is that you are willing to showcase your expertise.
• You will travel 4-8 days per month to customers and colleagues – willingness to travel within Germany, and if necessary, to Austria and Switzerland, is part of the role.

• Many years of experience as an architect or senior engineer, ideally with a service provider or in IT consulting.
• Project experience with Agentic AI implementations that goes beyond prototypes: LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents in real-world use – or comparable depth in the TypeScript environment (Mastra) or the Microsoft ecosystem (Semantic Kernel / Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure AI Foundry). Vector Databases and MLOps are a plus.
• The ability to communicate AI concepts and architectures to customers clearly and practically.
• You can sketch solutions in customer discussions and represent them convincingly – storytelling and presence are your strengths.
• You meet C-level executives on equal footing – you understand what aspects motivate decision-makers and how to translate technical concepts into economic relevance.
• Fluent German (C1+) and conversational English.
