Senior AI Architect & Consultant (all genders)

We are looking for an experienced developer who wants to not only build prototypes, but productive KI-Systems that change real business processes? At the MAI Group, you will design AI architectures for regulated industries with real impact on technology, customer strategy, and our growing KI portfolio. Tasks

• Conception and realization of productive AI and agent systems
• Development of modern architectures around LLMs, Knowledge Graphs, and data integration
• Solutions not only set up conceptually, but also hands-on in production bring
• Operation and scaling of AI workloads on Kubernetes
• Responsibility for deployment and optimization of On-Prem LLMs (e.g. vLLM, Ollama)
• Development of robust architectures including Observability, Guardrails, and Human-in-the-Loop
• Leadership of architecture workshops as well as consulting with customers up to C-Level
• Translation of business requirements into feasible, economically viable AI solutions
• Taking decisive technology decisions and evaluating new frameworks
• Active shaping of the AI portfolio
• Bringing in new ideas, technologies, and best practices to the team

Qualification

• Multiple years of experience in implementing AI/ML or GenAI projects
• Praxis with LLM- or agent-based systems in production-like environments
• Experience in architecture work and customer projects (e.g. workshops, stakeholder management)
• Technical focus on GenAI / LLM systems, agent-based architectures, Knowledge Graphs, data, and backend integration
• Experience with Kubernetes, inference stacks or Observability and understanding of trade-offs, scalability, and economics are advantageous
• You can clearly communicate complex topics and present them confidently to customers
• You work structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented
• Familiarity with German in writing and speaking (C1 level), very good English is an advantage
• Ideal candidate would live in the Berlin area and have interest in regularly spending time with the team on-site at the office

Nice to have:

• Experience in regulated industries (e.g. financial services)
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation or RAG approaches
• Contact points with EU AI Act / DSGVO in the AI context
• Contributions to Open Source, lectures or articles
