Senior Advisor Property Policy and Guidelines

Te Haeata/The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Advisor – Property Policy & Guidelines to join the Strategy, Planning and Performance team within the Ministry of Justice Property group. In this strategic role, you'll lead the development of property policies, design guidelines, and contribute to the long-term planning of our national portfolio—including courthouses. You'll work with senior leaders, the Judiciary, iwi, and government partners to deliver consistent, future-focused property guidelines and advice that support the Ministry's goals and objectives. This role is critical in ensuring the effective management and utilization of the Ministry's property assets, which are essential for delivering justice services. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of property policies and design guidelines that align with the Ministry's strategic direction; • Providing expert advice to senior leaders, the Judiciary, iwi, and government partners on property-related matters; • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions for managing and utilizing the Ministry's property assets; • Conducting research and analysis to inform policy development and decision-making; • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration; • Providing guidance and support to other teams within the Ministry on property-related matters.
