Senior Advisor Originator (m/w/d) Infrastrukturinvestitionen DACH

We are looking for an experienced professional to serve as a Senior Advisor / Originator for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Our client is one of the world's leading independent infrastructure investors with a global investment focus. The platform invests long-term in essential infrastructure companies and assets across various sub-sectors, including Energy & Energiewende, Utilities, Transport & Logistics, digital infrastructure (e.g., fiber optics, data centers) as well as environmental and social infrastructure.

The investor has an international team and locations in key financial centers in Europe and North America, making it one of the most established players in the global infrastructure market.

We are seeking a Senior Advisor / Originator to focus exclusively on deal origination. This is not a classical operational full-time position but rather a flexible, performance-based advisory mandate.

We are looking for an extremely experienced individual with a strong network and market overview.

Tasks

• Identification and approach to attractive infrastructure investment opportunities in the DACH region, with a clear focus on proprietary, non-auction-driven deal flow.
• Utilization of an existing, reliable network at C-level (entrepreneurs, CEOs, partners, public officials, advisors) to gain early access to transactions, carve-outs or capital requirements.
• Ongoing monitoring of relevant market, regulatory and industry trends as well as early recognition of 'Assets in Motion'. The goal is a comprehensive market coverage for the investor.
• Conducting an initial, qualitative review (strategic fit, rough economics, risk profile) before opportunities are passed on to the internal investment team for further processing.
• Playing the role of senior sparring partner and gatekeeper in the market as well as discreet representation vis-à-vis entrepreneurs, co-investors, advisors, and institutional stakeholders.

Qualification

• At least 15 years of relevant professional experience. Ideally, a former CEO, Managing Director or Partner in the infrastructure-, industry-, energy-, telecommunications- or investment world.
• Tightly rooted, reliable network to decision-makers in companies, family-owned businesses, public institutions and/or financial investors.
• A successful history in approaching and implementing transactions, ideally with proprietary origin. Experience with infrastructure- or real-asset transactions is clearly advantageous.
• Strong self-motivation, high market presence and joy in active business.
• The ability to quickly grasp investment criteria, risk-return profiles, and fund logics. Experience in the context of Private Equity, infrastructure- or credit funds is helpful.
• A very convincing, sovereign appearance, high personal credibility. Negotiation secure in German and English.
