The transport sector is undergoing a fundamental change. Electrification and the development of charging infrastructure are crucial for the future of freight transport. Panteia supports governments, industry organizations, and companies with independent research and advice.

For our Transport and Mobility team, we are looking for a senior advisor to further expand this field of work.

What will you do?

You will work on complex issues at the intersection of energy, logistics, and policy. Think about the development of charging hubs, depot charging, and the integration of energy into logistics systems.

You will:

• lead research and advisory projects from quotation to completion;

• manage project quality, planning, and budget;

• translate policy questions into concrete research designs and work plans;

• develop new propositions around charging and energy in transport;

• maintain and build relationships with clients such as ministries, industry organizations, and companies;

• play an active role in acquisition and securing new assignments;

• collaborate with national and, where relevant, European partners.

You will focus on a broad spectrum of issues, from freight road transport to energy transition issues resulting from stricter climate and energy goals. Within Panteia, the Transport & Mobility Team is an independent intermediary between the transport sector and policymakers, focusing for example on research and advice on the introduction of battery electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, biofuels, and associated complex calculation dossiers with significant societal interests and large financial consequences. Panteia's projects often involve an environment with multiple stakeholders and significant political attention. Panteia T&M offers sharp insights into freight road transport policy and related environmental factors, enabling clients to make responsible decisions and policy choices. Who are these clients? Think of local, regional, national, and international governments, and industry organizations. They can count on thorough and applicable research and advice from Panteia. So, there is no shortage of variety and challenge! As our new senior advisor, you will be at the forefront of societal developments and know exactly what drives our clients and what their needs are.

What do you bring?

You combine substantive knowledge with a practical approach and know how policy, market, and technology come together.

You:

• have extensive experience (at least 5 years) in energy and mobility issues;

• have knowledge of charging infrastructure and/or related themes;

• know the transport and logistics sector well;

• have experience in leading projects;

• can independently acquire and develop assignments;

• understand policy processes and easily interact with public and private parties;

• are a team player who gains energy from achieving results together;

• work in a structured manner and ensure the quality of results;

• communicate clearly and persuasively;

• have a good command of the Dutch and English languages at a professional level.
