Senior Accounts Payable

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable to join Randstad Digital and manage day-to-day transactional tasks while acting as the technical subject matter expert for our offshore teams. In this highly impactful role, you will be the go-to technical guide for our offshore AP teams while directly supporting operations for Germany, Belux, and—in the near future—France. 

Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter Expertise: manage complex AP transactions and handle high-level exceptions across the AP lifecycle.
• Team enablement: provide technical expertise, coaching, and daily guidance to offshore AP teams, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and comprehensive process training.
• Process ownership: ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance across all Accounts Payable processes.
• Strategic transitioning: play a key role in supporting the transition of French AP activities into the shared services model.
• Continuous improvement: drive process standardization and improvements, actively supporting ERP/SAP-related transformations and organizational change initiatives.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner effectively with Finance, Procurement, and various business stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a multinational environment.
• Deep technical AP expertise: understanding of invoice processing, exception management, vendor reconciliation, and payment processes.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes is mandatory (German and French AP knowledge will be appreciated).
• Experience working in Shared Services or Global Business Services  will be appreciated 
• Experience supporting offshore teams  will be appreciated 
• Experience with process transitions or transformation projects or at least strong interest in supporting organizational change
• A hands-on professional with strong ownership, accountability, and a natural orientation toward process improvement.
• Hands-on mindset.
• Ability to coach and support teams and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work across different countries and cultures.
• English language skills.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s Degree is preferred). 
• Willingness to travel when needed. 

Nice to have:

• Specific knowledge of German and/or French AP processes.
• French and/ or German would be an advantage
• Hands-on experience with SAP and broader ERP implementations.
• Background in process automation and continuous improvement methodologies.
