Senior Accounts Clerk - Standalone

We're working exclusively with a successful, privately owned business with an SME sub £10 million TO Company, who are now looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager to take full ownership of the finance function as a standalone finance role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded finance professional who's comfortable working independently and enjoys overseeing all areas of the accounts process, from transactional finance through to month-end reporting.

The Role

As the standalone Accounts Manager, you will report directly to the Board/Directors and be responsible for managing the day-to-day finances of the business. This is a hands-on role with a broad remit, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy in their work.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register and journals
• Working closely with external accountants and auditors
• Managing all aspects of the purchase and sales ledger
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Credit control duties and dealing with debtor reports
• Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow
• Petty cash and expenses management
• Preparing and submitting VAT/CIS returns
• Other adhoc duties
