The Role

To strengthen our Finance Team, we are looking for a (Senior) Accountant (all genders) who will handle the booking of our companies' transactions and thus ensure the correct bookkeeping. Together with the existing accountants, you will contribute to ensuring that necessary payments in all areas of the company are correctly made and booked. The use of modern software solutions accelerates the processes. You will play a central role in the company and will be in constant exchange with other departments.

What You'll Do

• You will control and book all business transactions in Datev.
• You will be responsible for the proper recording of accounts receivable and accounts payable, and will manage fixed asset and bank accounting.
• You will control incoming payments and be responsible for the creation of payment runs.
• You will submit the VAT pre-registration and bed tax.
• You will carry out reconciliation work in general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as intercompany.
• You will perform preparatory tasks and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• You will process and book credit card statements via Pleo.
• You will proactively optimize processes, including increasing the degree of digitalization.

What Makes You a Fit

• You have completed commercial training and have at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
• You have knowledge of HGB and the German Value Added Tax Act (Umsatzsteuergesetz).
• You have experience with the accounting software Datev.
• Ideally, you have further training as an IHK-certified Financial Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter).
• You are proficient in MS Office programs, especially Excel, and are generally open to a digital working environment.
• You work independently and are self-reliant, but you are also a team player and like to think outside the box.
• You have an eye for potential improvements and the desire to shape and advance your own area.
• You have native-level German language skills (C1) and good English language skills, both spoken and written (B1).
• You use digital tools with ease, recognize their potential, and are enthusiastic about how AI can make everyday work more efficient.
