About the role and firm!

Due to growth, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a forward-thinking, tech-savvy accounting practice with offices across the South Island.

This is not your traditional CA firm - they’re known for embracing technology, driving innovation, and focusing on value-add advisory as much as compliance.

You’ll step into a role where you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients (SMEs, commercial, and rural), while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the firm’s strategic growth. If you enjoy blending technical excellence with modern systems, automation, and proactive client service, this opportunity will allow you to make an impact from day one.

You will have:

• 3+ years’ experience in an NZ BAS / public practice environment
• CA qualification (or working towards)
• Strong technical skills in tax, compliance, and financial reporting
• A proven ability to build client relationships and provide advisory services
• Confidence in mentoring and guiding intermediate accountants
• An interest in cloud accounting technology and improving efficiency through innovation
