Position: Senior Accountant – Retail Sector

Department: Administration and Finance

Reports to: Administrative Manager / CFO

Role Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with consolidated experience in accounting and administration, preferably gained in the retail sector. The resource will be responsible for the correct management of accounting and administrative activities, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with fiscal and civil regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Management of general and analytical accounting, accounts receivable and payable cycle.
• Preparation of accounting entries up to the pre-tax civil balance sheet.
• Supervision of accounting entries related to receipts, payments, banks, fixed assets, and accruals/deferrals.
• Support in preparing the annual financial statements and monthly closings.
• Collaboration with the administrative team for the management of tax matters, VAT, F24, and periodic obligations.
• Monitoring and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Liaison with external consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support in the digitalization and optimization of administrative processes.
• Potential management of a junior resource.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience of at least 5 years in similar roles, preferably in structured companies in the retail / large-scale retail (GDO) sector.
• Excellent knowledge of general accounting and tax compliance.
• Good command of major accounting software and the Office suite (particularly Excel).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
• Accuracy, autonomy, proactivity, and teamwork skills.
• Good organizational and priority management skills.
