Senior Accountant or BAS Manager

A well-established and growing Auckland-based firm is seeking a technically strong and client-focused Senior Accountant or Business Advisory Manager to join their team.

Working alongside a collaborative leadership group, you’ll support a diverse client base of SMEs and investment entities, while also mentoring junior staff and contributing to internal process improvements. This role offers a strong mix of compliance and advisory exposure with opportunities for future progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and GST reconciliations
• Contribute to business advisory work including forecasting, structuring, and strategy
• Build and manage trusted client relationships
• Support junior team members through training and technical review
• Help drive internal efficiencies and client-focused solutions

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a New Zealand public practice firm
• CA qualified or working towards CA qualification
• Strong knowledge of NZ tax, compliance, and accounting standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Previous experience with Xero and other modern accounting software
