Senior Accountant (m/f/d) (Full or Part-time)

As a Senior Accountant, you will take on a responsible role in the operative and balance sheet daily business of several companies within the group. You will actively contribute to building and further developing the financial structures of our newly independent company. You will work closely with internal interfaces and external partners and ensure transparent, reliable, and compliant financial processes.

• Independent processing of daily business (travel expenses, banks, intercompany reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting) for one or more group companies
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and local accounting regulations
• Critical review and analytical validation of financial data
• Preparation of reports for internal and external accounting
• Contact person for external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and authorities
• Support in the preparation of VAT advance returns, statistical reports, tax refund applications, and the annual income tax return
• Responsibility for the valuation, accounting, and reporting of financial instruments and investments in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Responsibility for the closing processes within the Brainlab Group
• Contact person for IFRS 16 issues within the Brainlab Group

• Commercial apprenticeship or a degree with a focus on accounting, taxes, controlling, or similar
• Relevant professional experience, especially in accounting and the closing process, as well as knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) and HGB
• Proficient in Excel and SAP Analysis for Office
• Very good knowledge of accounting according to IFRS and HGB
• Experience with SAP applications is an advantage
• Sound German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to enthusiastically tackle new issues and independently develop solutions
