Senior Accountant (m/w/d)

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant (Team Lead Accounting) (m/w/d) to strengthen our Finance team – in full-time or part-time and with the possibility of hybrid or remote work.

This is what you'll be doing

• You will take over, together with our Head of Finance, the overall responsibility for ongoing financial accounting.
• You will create your own monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in DATEV.
• You will maintain and optimize our pre-systems (e.g. easybill and Finway) and ensure smooth interfaces to DATEV.
• You will develop our bookkeeping processes continuously further and standardize them, with a focus on digitalization, efficiency, and meaningful reporting.
• You will monitor open items and steer and optimize our collection process.
• You will work closely with our Head of Finance and be the point of contact for auditors, tax consultants, and internal departments.
• You will create financial reports and analyze relevant key figures as a decision-making basis for management and executive board.
• Potentially, you will take over the leadership of the accounting team in the future.

With your expertise, you'll reach these milestones with us

0–3 months: You will take over independently initial areas of financial accounting and learn our entire system landscape, from easybill to Finway to DATEV comprehensively.

4–6 months: You will be responsible for monthly statements in DATEV, standardize central bookkeeping processes, and develop them continuously further.

7–12 months: You will take over the leadership of the accounting team, steer monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, as well as audits, and develop the accounting to a scalable organization for sustainable growth.

This is what you bring with you

• You have completed a comprehensive training in accounting or have a degree in business administration.
• You bring several years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in a digitally established medium-sized company or scale-up.
• You have very good knowledge of DATEV and experience working with pre-systems like easybill, Finway, or similar tools.
• You are familiar with the principles of proper bookkeeping (GoB) and create monthly and annual statements independently and routinely.
• You work confidently with MS Excel and enjoy optimizing processes and actively driving digitalization forward.
• You work structured, independently, and precisely and convince through a high level of reliability.
• You communicate clearly, work well in a team, and are eager to take on future leadership responsibilities.
