Job description

Our global franchising company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our on-site team in Centurion. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, process-driven, and highly proficient in NetSuite (or other Oracle-based systems). This role is a key position within our finance team, responsible for managing full accounting duties, overseeing invoicing and reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple franchise accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations across multiple franchise accounts.

  • Perform cash management, reconciliations, allocations, and month-end processes.

  • Oversee invoicing and debt collection (executed by another team member).

  • Generate and maintain financial and management reports.

  • Work extensively on NetSuite (Oracle-based) accounting system.

  • Create and manage invoices for franchisees, freeze accounts, and reconcile transactions.

  • Assist with cash flow reporting to the international finance team (primarily USA).

  • Maintain strict control over franchise accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Collaborate with international counterparts (UK & USA) as required.

  • Work closely with the Centurion team and adapt to varying personalities in the office.


Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 7–15 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial, logistics, or franchise environments

  • SAICA/SAIPA articles not required

  • Practical experience and proven results valued highly

  • Strong knowledge of NetSuite or other Oracle-based systems

  • Excellent reconciliation, reporting, and month-end skills

  • System-savvy, process-driven, and detail-oriented

  • Effective people management and communication skills

  • Professional, structured, and confident

  • Assertive and firm when necessary, not easily influenced

  • Patient but authoritative when dealing with franchisees

  • Able to work collaboratively with high-energy, flamboyant colleagues

  • Loyal, long-term focused, and passionate about the company’s success
