Your Responsibilities

You will become part of our Business Accounting Team and take responsibility for several companies within a dynamic and rapidly growing corporate group. You will work closely with colleagues from Group Accounting, Technical Accounting, Tax, and Treasury in an environment with sophisticated accounting and financing structures. In addition to operational accounting, the role offers the opportunity to actively further develop processes and contribute to the scaling of our Finance organization.

• You will be responsible for the general ledger accounting of a portfolio of Enpal companies, ensuring correct and timely financial information together with the Team Lead GL Accounting.

• You will independently conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities according to HGB (German Commercial Code), including accruals, provisions, transfers, and other closing entries.

• You will be responsible for intercompany accounting and invoicing, perform balance sheet account reconciliations, and proactively clarify open items and discrepancies.

• You will analyze P&L and balance sheet accounts, identify unusual developments, and ensure that the figures accurately reflect the underlying business activities.

• You will support with HGB annual financial statements, Group Reporting, and external audits, providing relevant financial information and documentation.

• You will work closely with Group Accounting, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, as well as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to efficiently resolve accounting issues.

• You will support the Team Lead in further developing and standardizing accounting processes and actively contribute to the automation and scaling of GL Accounting.

• As an experienced team member, you will contribute your accounting expertise, support with more complex issues, and contribute to uniform working methods and high quality within the team.

Your Profile

• You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant commercial apprenticeship or a comparable qualification.

• You have several years of professional experience in general or financial accounting, ideally in a complex or international corporate environment.

• You possess sound practical HGB knowledge and experience with monthly and annual closings.

• You have experience in intercompany accounting, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and other key GL processes.

• You have experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable systems is a plus. You also have very good Excel skills.

• You communicate confidently in German; good English skills are an advantage.
