(Senior) Accountant & Controller 80-100% (m/f/x)

Your Responsibilities

Labs, you'll combine accounting excellence with real business impact. You'll ensure reliable financial processes and make Finance a strong sparring partner for Sales and other departments.

Accounting

• You will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of our Swiss and German companies, including consolidation, and will be the point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors for annual financial statements and tax audits.
• You will manage the general ledger, ensure the accuracy and completeness of sub-ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets), and proactively resolve discrepancies in the balance sheet and income statement.
• You will be responsible for correct intercompany billing and reporting with subsidiaries and sister companies.
• You will prepare VAT returns and other statutory reports.
• You will prepare the weekly payment runs for the CH and DE companies.
• You will further develop financial processes and systems and provide technical support to our bookkeeper in accounting.

Controlling & Reporting

• You will design and implement our controlling framework, initially focusing on Sales Controlling and prospectively on other business areas.
• You will strengthen Finance as a business partner for Sales and other departments, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses.
• You will prepare well-founded financial analyses and derive concrete recommendations for action for management from them.
• You will be responsible for our existing Power BI reporting landscape, including maintenance and data quality, and will further develop dashboards and reports according to business needs.

Your Profile

Education & Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, ideally in the digital or media environment, combined with sound controlling experience (e.g., Sales Controlling, FP&A or Management Reporting).
• Professional qualification in Finance and Accounting or Controlling, a comparable education, or a corresponding degree.
• Experience in independently preparing monthly and annual financial statements, including consolidation.
• Sound knowledge of Swiss accounting law (OR) as well as tax and VAT matters; HGB knowledge is a plus.

Skills & Mindset

• You are hands-on, think analytically and entrepreneurially, and are eager to build structures, improve processes, and actively develop Finance.
• Practical experience with Power BI, especially in maintaining and developing dashboards, as well as very good Excel skills.
• Very good knowledge of accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics; HubSpot knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
