Senior Accountant / Accountant (m/f/d)

As a Senior Accountant (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for complex accounting and financial statement topics within the Arsipa Group. Together with Christian, our Head of Accounting, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our accounting processes and support the team as a subject matter expert. You will prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, work closely with auditors and tax advisors, and contribute your experience to the optimization, standardization, and automation of our finance processes. Your Tasks:

• Financial Statements & Accounting:

  • Responsibility for complex accounting, accounting principles, and financial statement topics in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).

  • Independent preparation and expert review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Analysis and clarification of complex balance sheet issues and ensuring technically correct and comprehensible representation.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting, compliance, and quality standards.

• Stakeholders & Expert Support:

  • Act as a competent point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal finance and business stakeholders.

  • Close collaboration with our Head of Accounting and the central Finance functions of the Arsipa Group.

  • Expert support and guidance for less experienced colleagues on demanding accounting and financial statement topics.

  • Transfer of accounting knowledge and active promotion of uniform quality standards within the team.

• Processes, Automation & Finance Projects:

  • Analysis of existing accounting processes and identification and implementation of concrete optimization potential.

  • Further development, standardization, and documentation of scalable accounting and financial statement processes.

  • Participation in automation, digitalization, and cross-departmental finance projects.

  • Contribution of technical expertise to the further development of our ERP, reporting, and finance structures.

Your Starting Requirements:

• What you bring to the table:

  • Many years of professional experience in accounting, financial accounting, or bookkeeping – ideally five to eight years or a comparable professional development with demonstrable responsibility for complex accounting topics.

  • Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship, a degree with a finance focus, or a comparable qualification, as well as very good knowledge of ERP, accounting, and reporting systems and strong analytical skills.

  • Very good knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and solid experience in independently preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, experience in working with auditors and tax advisors, and in handling complex accounting and compliance issues.

  • High degree of personal responsibility, technical excellence, and a quality-, process-, and solution-oriented approach to work. You communicate confidently in German at least C1 level; English skills are a plus.

• What will help you succeed faster:

  • A completed further training as a Certified Accountant (IHK) or a comparable additional professional qualification, as well as experience in medium-sized, international, or complex multi-entity corporate structures are advantageous.

  • Initial experience in the technical guidance, support, or development of less experienced colleagues is advantageous, as is experience in optimizing and automating accounting and financial statement processes.

  • Interest in digital finance processes, automation, and the continuous development of accounting structures, as well as in multi-entity, buy-and-build, or rapidly growing corporate structures would be desirable.
