Senior Accountant / Financial Controller:in (m/f/d) – HGB & IFRS

As a Senior Accountant / Financial Controller:in (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for our financial processes and ensure that our financial statements are reliable, transparent, and meaningful. You will work directly with our Director Finance & Legal and develop our processes step by step.

• Financial Statements: You will independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) – ensuring the quality and completeness of our financial data.
• Valuations & Accruals: You will value provisions and inventories and ensure period-appropriate accruals.
• Taxes: You will prepare tax returns, manage VAT pre-registration forms, and assist with tax audits.
• Account Reconciliation & Audits: You will reconcile the general ledger and sub-ledgers and work closely with internal and external auditors.
• Ongoing Bookkeeping: You will be responsible for ongoing bookkeeping, ensuring the correct recording, checking, and reconciliation of business transactions – from accounts receivable and payable to the general ledger.
• AI & Automation: You will contribute ideas on how to reduce routine work and optimize finance processes – and implement them together with the Director Finance & Legal.

• Accounting Experience: At least five years in accounting with responsibility for financial statements. 
• Qualification: Certified Financial Accountant (IHK), commercial apprenticeship with a focus on finance and accounting, or equivalent. Experience from a tax consultancy is a plus, but not a requirement.
• HGB & IFRS: In-depth knowledge that you confidently apply in practice.
• Systems: Excel is part of your daily work. Sage 100 and Candis are a plus.
• AI Affinity: You already use AI tools in your daily work – or are eager to start.
• English & German: Our company language is English – so good English skills are a must. You can also communicate fluently in German with tax advisors, authorities, and auditors. 
• Personal Responsibility: You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, set priorities independently, and maintain an overview even when multiple topics are on your plate simultaneously.
• Further Development: You don't just want to manage existing processes, but actively shape your area of responsibility.
