(Senior) Accountant (all genders)

At Yoshi en & Edeneve, you will take on a central role in our accounting department, ensuring that our accounting processes run reliably and efficiently. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to actively develop processes and systems further and drive the digitalization of our finance structures.

• Independent maintenance and management of the general ledger and verification of automatically generated outgoing invoices in the ERP system (Odoo) 
• Lead responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial statements and participation in annual financial statements according to HGB, including timely and independent execution of all balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and provisions 
• Preparation of VAT returns and ongoing coordination and communication with tax authorities and external tax advisors, both domestically and internationally 
• Responsibility for weekly payment runs and cash management (currency purchases, etc.) 
• Central point of contact for technical questions in daily operations, conducting regular booking controls, and close collaboration in cross-functional teams 
• Active shaping, optimization, and implementation of new internal workflows and system functionalities 

• Completion of a commercial apprenticeship (e.g., as a tax assistant or in accounting) or a relevant degree, as well as at least 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce 
• Sound technical knowledge in accounting according to HGB as well as familiar use of ERP systems and Excel 
• Experience in D2C and knowledge of cross-border tax issues (e.g., UK, Switzerland, Poland) are an advantage 
• Understanding of the specifics of online retail (such as payment providers, marketplaces, or shipping cost structures) 
• Structured, proactive, and meticulous work approach combined with an analytical mindset 
• Strong enthusiasm for the automation and digitalization of modern financial processes 
• Strong communication skills as a competent sparring partner for internal interfaces 
• German language skills at C2 level, fluent English (C1), and residence in Berlin or the surrounding area
