Senior Accountant

Your role will involve:

• Managing and supervising daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring that all financial transactions are correct and on time, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Coordinating the monthly closing process to ensure timely reporting
• Transmitting reports to the management team, as well as analyzing any discrepancies for solution
• Reconciling accounts, preparing tax declarations and periodic financial statements
• Prioritizing cash flow, participating in budget preparation, and analyzing differences between current results and budget/forecasts
• Reviewing and solving identified discrepancies in financial data by developing and implementing action plans
• Developing team skills through mentoring and training
• Maintaining clear communication with internal and external departments to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial processes
• Perserving relationships with banks, tax authorities, and statistical offices and actively participating in preparing various reports and declarations required by these authorities
• Collaborating with internal/external auditors, as needed

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar field (a master's or certifications such as CECCAR, ACCA would be a plus)
• Has at least 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Has knowledge of the international business environment
• Has solid knowledge of accounting regulations and standards
• Has in-depth knowledge of Romanian tax and financial legislation
• Has advanced skills in using MS Office applications
• Has very good English language skills
• Has knowledge about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, which would be an advantage
• Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Has excellent communication and leadership skills
