Senior Account Manager Commercial Insurance

We’re partnering with a respected New Zealand broking group to recruit a Commercial Insurance Account Manager based in Auckland’s CBD. This opportunity is for someone who enjoys working with established business clients and takes pride in delivering excellent service and sound insurance advice – without the pressure of cold calling.

You’ll manage and retain a portfolio of mid-market commercial clients across industries such as construction, logistics, manufacturing, and professional services. You’ll be their go-to contact for policy renewals, claims support, risk reviews and tailored insurance advice. While you’ll operate with a good degree of autonomy, you’ll also be backed by a collaborative team that values integrity, professionalism, and putting clients first.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and retain a loyal portfolio of commercial clients with full broking responsibility
• Conduct risk reviews and collaborate with underwriters to deliver smart, tailored cover
• Support clients through renewals and claims while maintaining high compliance standards
• Work across industry leading insurance systems to ensure accurate records and reporting
• Contribute to a supportive, values-led team culture

You’ll be based in the heart of Auckland City with an alternate office location as an option, with flexibility to meet clients on-site as needed. Tools of the trade are supplied and a generous mileage rebate is in place.

The ideal candidate will bring at least six years’ experience in broking or underwriting, in commercial Fire & General. A Level 5 Certificate in General Insurance is also expected.
