As Senior Abacus Application Manager, you ensure that our Abacus-ERP system runs reliably and optimally contributes to Helvetas' goals. You optimize important functions such as finance, HR, and project management, develop the ERP architecture further, and lead central development projects. Through collaboration with internal teams and external partners, you ensure that the system remains stable and adapts to new requirements. You also guarantee smooth recurring processes like year-end closing and support automation and data-driven decision-making organization-wide. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES - Abacus System Management: Responsibility for the integration, operation, and further development of the Abacus-ERP system and ensuring optimal support for our organizational goals - Project Leadership: Development and implementation of medium- to long-term roadmaps for ERP optimizations, as well as monitoring project costs - System Operation and Maintenance: Ensure a stable and error-free ERP operation, including maintenance of data connections, interfaces, and system updates - Stakeholder Management: Function between technical and operational areas to effectively support the needs of finance, HR, and project management - User Support: Professional support for all Abacus users, as well as coordination of complex support requests with the IT Service Desk - Knowledge Management: Planning and implementation of training sessions, creation of user documentation, and maintenance of knowledge resources on the intranet, to ensure optimal system use organization-wide. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS - Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field - Proven experience in managing and developing Abacus-ERP systems, preferably with a focus on HR modules; experience in the NGO sector is a plus - Experience in leading and implementing IT or ERP projects - Funded knowledge of ERP systems, data connections, and development of interfaces; experience with automation is particularly valuable - Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and international teams, as well as project management from start to finish - Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical content addressably at all levels - Very good German and English language skills; additional languages such as French or Spanish are a plus.
