SEND Teacher – Chesterfield Location: Chesterfield Contract: Full-time / Part-time (Flexible) Pay: Dependent on experience (PAYE – no umbrella deductions) Start Date: ASAP Are you the kind of teacher who can bring calm to chaos and confidence to every child? We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher to join one of our brilliant partner schools in Chesterfield. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in inclusive environments and genuinely enjoys helping pupils with a diverse range of needs. About the Role: * Provide high-quality teaching to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. * Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. * Collaborate with support staff and parents to ensure holistic pupil development. * Assess and monitor pupil progress, keeping accurate records. * Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). * Participate in school meetings and training sessions. What We Need From You: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * Proven experience working with children with SEND. * Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. * A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach. * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
