SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Linton, Cambridgeshire Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Simply Education is currently seeking a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN (Special Educational Needs) school. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about making a real impact on the lives of young people with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN and additional learning needs, utilising a range of strategies and interventions to promote student progress and achievement. This may include, but is not limited to, supporting students with autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and/or learning difficulties. Assist teachers and other support staff in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of lessons and interventions, ensuring that students receive the support they need to access the curriculum. Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, communicating in a clear and concise manner. Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need. Support the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) in the management of SEN provision, including the monitoring and reporting of student progress. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practice in SEN provision.
