SEN Teaching Assistant

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and caring 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in Chigwell. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey while developing your own skills in a supportive school environment. The Role Provide individualised support to a child with SEN, helping them access learning in and outside the classroom. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement the child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and ensure that their needs are met. This will involve adapting teaching methods and resources to meet the child’s specific needs, and providing additional support to help them access the curriculum. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of SEN and the impact it can have on a child’s education. They will also be able to work effectively with parents and carers to ensure that the child receives the support they need. The Role is a fixed-term contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
