Job description
How would you like to get paid for five days, but only work four? At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance — and we’re putting wellbeing first. That’s why we’re proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay. Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW — and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. So whether it’s already rolled out or is coming soon, you can look forward to a better work/life balance from day one, helping you to enjoy a happier, healthier life. About the role As an SEN Teacher, you’ll be making a difference to young people’s lives every single day. You will be teaching pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, some of whom may also have other complex needs. You’ll be nurturing their individual needs, enabling them to flourish in a caring and supportive environment. This is a highly rewarding opportunity where you can see first-hand the positive impact you have on young people’s lives, supporting them to develop life skills, independence and preparing them for their future. You’ll be responsible for: * Planning and delivering engaging and tailored lessons * Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment * Assessing and monitoring pupils’ progress * Working closely with support staff and other professionals, such as therapists, to provide a holistic approach to each pupil’s needs Who are we looking for? * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent * Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally those with SEMH needs * A passion for making a difference to young people’s lives * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with colleagues, parents and carers Why Outcomes First Group? We are committed to providing the best possible care for the children and young people we support. To do this, we need to ensure our teams are well-supported, and that everyone feels valued. That’s why we offer: * 4-Day Working Week (subject to school rollout) * Competitive salary * Generous annual leave allowance * Opportunities for professional development and training * A supportive and collaborative working environment * Access to a range of employee benefits, including a cycle-to-work scheme and discounted gym memberships * The opportunity to make a real difference to young people’s lives About Outcomes First Group Outcomes First Group is the leading provider of children’s services in the UK.
