SEN Class Teacher – Hedgeway Location: Pilning, Bristol, BS35 4JN Salary: £32,916 - £47,472 (M1 – UPS1) * Hours : 40 hours per week Contract : Full time - permanent Aurora Hedgeway is a dynamic and inspiring provision for children and young people aged 7-19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs. As a SEN Class Teacher, you will be part of a dedicated team that works together to deliver a tailored curriculum that supports the learning and development of our students. Key responsibilities will include: * Teaching and learning: You will be responsible for teaching and learning in a SEN class, working with students to develop their skills and knowledge. * Assessment and planning: You will be required to assess and plan for the learning needs of your students, working with colleagues to develop individualised education plans. * Collaboration and communication: You will work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to ensure that the needs of our students are met. * Continuous professional development: You will be expected to engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practice in SEN education. The ideal candidate will have: * A degree in Education or a related field * A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) * Experience of teaching students with special educational needs * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances * A passion for working with students with special educational needs and a commitment to their learning and development.
