Semi-skilled Production Operative (Days/Nights rotating)

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives at our potato processing site in Westwick, Norfolk. As a Level 2 Production Operative you will be responsible for ensuring that the production process is adhered in line with retailer requirements; run machinery and complete appropriate quality checks; and carry out necessary instructions as specified within production procedures and also ensuring that the Quality procedures are followed. Expected Start Date : Immediate. Hours of work: 4 x 12 hour shifts per week, rotating between days and nights. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe and responsible manner. * To accurately monitor, record and respond to data obtained during the production process. * To operate machinery and equipment in line with company procedures. * To maintain equipment and working areas, ensuring they are kept clean and tidy. * To monitor and adhere to all food safety and quality procedures. * To work as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors. * Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. * To be flexible and undertake any other duties as required. Skills and Experience: * Previous experience within a food production environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. * A good understanding of food safety and hygiene. * Good communication skills. * Ability to work as part of a team. * Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. * Flexible approach to work and shift patterns.
