Head of Legal Office

Legal activity supports every important decision of a company, from contracts and relations with authorities to managing situations with legal implications.

At MEGACONSTRUCT S.A. we are looking for a Head of Legal Office to coordinate the company's legal activity and to provide management with the necessary legal support for correct and well-founded decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activity of the Legal Office and sets priorities according to the company's needs;
• Provides legal consultancy to the company's management and to all departments;
• Monitors legislative changes relevant to the company's activity and formulates viewpoints on their application;
• Legally approves management decisions, contracts, regulations, norms, and other legal documents;
• Verifies the documents on which contracts are based and identifies potential legal risks or non-conformities;
• Coordinates activities related to the recovery of company receivables and, where applicable, related judicial steps;
• Coordinates legal activities related to litigation and judicial proceedings;
• Represents the company's interests before courts, judicial executors, notaries, authorities, and public institutions;
• Coordinates the legal formalities regarding changes to the articles of incorporation and decisions of the General Meeting of Shareholders, including their registration at ONRC (Romanian Trade Registry Office);
• Participates in contract negotiations and drafts or coordinates the drafting of contract projects;
• Ensures the management and record-keeping of legal documents;
• Provides management with legal opinions and recommendations regarding situations relevant to the company's activity.

Ideal Candidate

• Completed higher education in the legal field;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, of which experience in a coordination position is an advantage;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the energy sector or in the natural gas field is an advantage;
• Experience in coordinating legal activity and managing complex legal cases;
• Solid knowledge of civil, commercial, administrative, tax, and criminal law;
• Experience in dealing with courts, ONRC, OCPI (Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising Office), authorities, and public institutions;
• Capacity for analysis, synthesis, and formulation of clear and well-argued legal viewpoints;
• Capacity for coordination, organization, and prioritization of activities;
• Attention to detail, rigor, and sense of responsibility;
• Good communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills;
• Good PC and Microsoft Office operating skills;
• Postgraduate studies or a master's degree in the legal field are an advantage.
