Head of High Voltage Electrical Station Department

Scope of the position

The Head of the High Voltage Electrical Station Department coordinates and manages the department's activities responsible for designing, approving, building, extending, and modernizing high-voltage electrical stations (110 kV / 220 kV / 400 kV), ensuring the implementation of projects in accordance with:

• technical documents approved,
• regulations issued by ANRE/Transelectrica,
• ISC requirements,
• applicable legislation regarding quality in construction, safety, and workplace health.

Main responsibilities and attributes

Management and coordination

• Coordinates the High Voltage Electrical Station Department.
• Sets department objectives and follows up on their realization in conditions of quality, safety, and economic efficiency.
• Coordinates the activities of site managers, field engineers, and technical teams involved in projects.

Project management

• SUPERVISES project execution from a technical, financial, and contractual perspective.
• Ensures compliance with technical projects, norms, and applicable legislation (ANRE, ISC, SSM, PSI).
• MONITORS technical and operational risks and takes corrective measures.

Conformity and institutional relations

• Ensures conformity of department activities with current requirements regarding high-voltage electrical station execution.
• Ensures compliance with legal requirements regarding quality in construction and participation in critical phases, according to ISC.
• Maintains relations with beneficiaries, designers, site managers, and competent authorities.

Bidding and technical optimization

• Participates in bidding and techno-economic analysis of projects.
• APPROVES and optimizes proposed technical solutions, in accordance with applicable norms and beneficiary requirements.

Essential qualifications for the position

Studies and authorizations

• Superior technical studies completed – Electrical Engineer/Energetic.
• ANRE grade IV B authorization – mandatory and valid.

Professional experience

• Relevant experience in building and/or modernizing high-voltage electrical stations (110 kV / 220 kV / 400 kV).
• Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience (department head, project manager, senior site manager).
• Experience in AIS and/or GIS works.

• Solid knowledge of high-voltage electrical stations and applicable norms.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and team coordination skills.
• Capacity to make decisions and manage critical situations.
• Excellent communication and professional relationship skills.

Other requirements

• Category B driving license.
• Availability for travel in the interest of service.
• Apt medical certificate for activities performed in industrial and electrical environments.

Institutional relations

• Subordination: General Director / Technical Director
• Subordinates: Site managers, field engineers, technical personnel from the department
• Collaboration: Designers, beneficiaries, site managers, authorities ANRE /Transelectrica / ISC

Working conditions

• Combined activity: office and travel to sites.
• Schedule adapted to project requirements in progress.
• Strict compliance with safety and health at work norms.
